The Real Reason
There’s A Season
…by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous [just]. ROMANS 5:19B
Prophecies of the Promised Redeemer
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. GENESIS 3:15
He would be ‘all man’: born of a woman.
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee [Abraham] and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. GENESIS 17:7
He would be a man of the lineage and offspring of Abraham.
I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee [Moses], and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. DEUTERONOMY 18:18
He would be a man of Israel, and be a prophet like Moses was a prophet.
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until* Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. GENESIS 49:10

He would be a man of the tribe of Judah and he would be a king.
And when thy [David] days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. II SAMUEL 7:12,16
He would be king of the lineage and offspring of David.
The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. PSALM 110:4
He would be a priest after the order of Melchizedek.
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. MICAH 5:2
He would come out of Bethlehem.
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord [God], and against His anointed. PSALM 2:2
He would be God’s anointed one, therefore: ‘the anointed one’.
‘Anointed’ is the Hebrew word mashiah from which is derived the English word ‘Messiah’: ‘the Messiah’ = the anointed one.
The Greek word that means ‘anointed one’ is christos, from which we get the English word ‘Christ’: ‘the Christ’ = the anointed one.
He is ‘the Messiah’ and ‘the Christ’ which both mean ‘the anointed one’ of God.
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ [the anointed one], the son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. JOHN 20:31
