This piece began as a poetic attempt to create order out of the anonymous days of quarantine, inspired by prayer beads used as timekeeping devices by cultures throughout history. It is a record of perseverance and a reminder to find color and light even in moments of darkness.

It is an idea stolen from painting and deconstructed in an art object made with pure painting pigment

and the freedom to translate that to actual people
