Chateau Angelus - 'Hommage a Elisabeth Bouchet' 2018 (750ml) MagnumHommage Elisabeth Bouchet is a tiny production cuve that will only be released in the greatest vintages. The first release comes from the already almost mythical 2016 vintage. It is made from old vine Cabernet Franc (or Bouchet, as it has always been known on the right bank) from two small parcels in the South West corner of the Anglus vineyard on the famous pied de cte (the foot of the slope). The vines themselves are of 60 80 years of age, drawing

with exotic spices and tangerine to balance

structured with a smooth and creamy palate

a seafood pasta

including the use of shade cloths and misting systems

Planted on calcareous shale soils

It will cellar to 2070 and

smooth finish accompanied by velvety tannins

as it's not supposed to be a flor wine

with less extraction to preserve roundness

warm cassis and wild blueberry scents plus suggestions of lilacs

are white meat and fish dishes heavy in cream

black pepper and berries
