19th Century Oil On Canvas - The Cobbler SOLDA fantastic 19th century oil on canvas depicting a cobbler. The cobbler is seated at his table with shoe and hammer in hand, a bird cage above, tools upon the table and a basket of shoes beneath it. and signed/dated '1989' with associated labels to the rear

They are both wearing ornate bonnets and have dresses with full hooped skirts

This is a scarce

wonderful patina to the copper and original mirror plate and back

The prestigious Highgate School crest is gilt stamped to the front board
