THE REMARKABLE PSALM 119

                                                         Aleph

1. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

2. Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart.

3. They also do no iniquity: they walk in His ways.

4. Thou hast commanded us to keep Thy precepts diligently.

5. O that my ways were directed to keep Thy statutes!

6. Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all Thy commandments.

7. I will praise Thee with uprightness of heart,

When I shall have learned Thy righteous judgments.

8. I will keep Thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly [in any way].

God has marked this wonderful Psalm with many remarkable figures of speech to emphasize some of the tremendous truths about Him, His Word and His ways. I will be sharing with you this month some of these great things I have been working.

Here is an excerpt:

‘In Psalm 119 there are 22 Sections corresponding in order to the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Each Section has eight verses, making a total of 176 verses. Each Section is also identified by its letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and each one of the eight verses in that Section begins with that same letter. Because of the differences in alphabets, we don’t see this in the English translation.

The first Section of eight verses is identified with the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, “Aleph”, and (in the original text) the first word of each verse began with that letter. The first word of each of  the eight verses in the second Section began with the letter “Beth”, then “Cheth”, and so on.’

Looking forward to seeing you and sharing these, and other great truths of this unique, dynamic  Psalm. Until then I encourage you to read and reread Psalm 119 and enjoy the treasure and riches of God’s matchless, revealed Word.
