The Truth
II TIMOTHY 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of the truth.
II TIMOTHY 2:16-18
But shun profane and vain babblings [useless discussions]: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
And their word will eat as doth a canker [eat away as gangrene does]: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
Who concerning the truth have erred [deviated, turned aside], saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the believing of some.
II TIMOTHY 2:25
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.
II TIMOTHY 3:5,7-8
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (from such turn away), ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge ofthe truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist [stand against] the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
II TIMOTHY 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables [myths].
ACTS 13:38-39
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins, and by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
justified = dikaioō (VERB) – to justify From dikaios (ADJ) = just
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness [justness] to every one that believeth.
ROMANS 10:4
righteousness = dikaiosunē (NOUN) – justness From dikaios (ADJ) = just
