Wrath = Anger

OLD TESTAMENT

’aph =  1. a breathing place, the nose.
            2. anger (which shows itself in heavy breathing).

’ebrah = outpouring of anger; overflow, excess, fury, wrath.

NEW TESTAMENT

1. orgē – (36x total) wrath 31x     anger 3x     vengeance 1x     indignation 1x

2. thumos – (18x total) wrath 15x     fierceness 2x     indignation 1x

orgē = anger; the natural disposition of temper.

thumos = intense, passionate anger; heated anger; wrath.

EPHESIANS 4:31
Let all bitterness, and wrath (thumos), and anger (orgē), and clamour, and
evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.

COLOSSIANS 3:8
But now ye also put off all these; anger, (orgē), wrath (thumos), malice,
blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

MARK 3:5
