Peace

   Peace – eirēnē = tranquility, rest, the absence of strife.   

    KJV: eirēnē = peace 89x, quietness 1x, rest 1x, one 1x. Total = 92x.

The word ‘peace’ is found in the opening salutation of all the Church Epistles and almost all the personal Epistles.

‘Peace’ is also found in many closing verses of the Epistles as well.

Here are those verses:

ROMANS 15:13,33 & 16:20

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the holy spirit.

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

II CORINTHIANS 13:11  

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace [eirēneuō – verb]; and the God of love and peace shall be with ou.

GALATIANS 6:16 

And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

EPHESIANS 6:23

Peace be to the brethren, and love with believing, from God the Father and the lord Jesus Christ.

II THESSALONIANS 3:16      

Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

HEBREWS 13:20-21

Now the God of peace (that brought again from the dead our lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant),

Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight (through Jesus Christ) to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

I PETER 5:14

Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

III JOHN 1:14       

But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.
